Intermediate and Senior Software Designers – Ottawa , Canada
Kindsight is looking for senior and intermediate software designers to join a small, dynamic team creating a high-speed data processing system.
Key requirements:
- 5+ years of software development experience with several year of experience in Unix-based system development. Significant exposure to real-time or near real-time systems.
- Knowledge of clustered computing a definite asset.
- Experience and knowledge of IP, TCP /IP, HTTP protocols.
- Experience in developing and deploying high-speed, scalable systems, with attention to detail.
- Ability use knowledge to quickly master new technical areas.
- Strong working knowledge of: Linux based development, with understanding of Web platform development. Must have strong Java development skills (J2EE, JMS, etc). C/C++ also an asset.
- Strong team skills. Demonstrated ability to make technical decisions and influence team members with regards to technical direction.
- Ability to work in a small, dynamic team. Able to take on multiple roles and responsibilities as needed.
