Senior Security Software Engineer - Ottawa, Canada
Kindsight is looking for senior software engineers with experience developing network security applications. The candidates will be expected to play a leading role in the design, development and testing phases of the project.
Key requirements:
- Hands on experience with the design, development and testing of network security applications and technology
- Experience with intrusion detection and prevention, malware analysis, anti-virus, firewalls and security information management systems
- Experience using Snort a definite asset
- 10+ years of software development experience with several year of experience in Unix-based system development. Must be able to understand and develop network applications in C. C++, Java and scripting are definite assets
- Web development experience with MySQL and php
- Experience and knowledge of TCP/IP protocols
- Track record in all phases of the development process from initial design to final delivery
- Experience in developing and deploying high-speed, scalable systems, with attention to detail
- Ability use knowledge to quickly master new technical areas
- Strong team skills. Demonstrated ability to make technical decisions and influence team members with regards to technical direction
- Ability to work in a small, dynamic team. Able to take on multiple roles and responsibilities as needed
